[GMST] Tespia is Open!

Yes, it’s clear now. Either my account is for some reason not eligible for acceptance into Tespia or I am extremely unlucky. I’ve never been banned and often send feedback, bug reports and hacker reports to Nexon and my account history is as good as it gets. The account I play on now has been open since 2006 and has not been banned once, possibly hasn’t even been reported before. I’m going to go cry now as I did with the other Tespias. The friend who’s Tespia account I was playing up to the Aftershock update got banned but I am possibly going to be joining forces with another friends who was accepted.

If this is testing for the part 2 of Cake vs. Pie then I’m going to explode, die and everything else all at once. If this is Chaos then I’m doing to jump, scream and everything else too.

Anyway, go Tespia!!!! http://maplestoryt.nexon.net/

Msupdate’s 5 Most Anticipated F2P MMOs

For more of Msupdate’s Top Lists, click here.

The second half of 2011 is almost upon us. With it, and with 2012, with come many more FREE MMOs. The next generation of free is here and we’re all loving it. Vindictus, Divine Souls and some others have paved the path and now its time for these new games to continue. Here are Msupdate’s 5 most anticipated free-to-play MMOs. Of course, only games that have had their North American or Global service being announced are featured.

1. C9

Continent of the Ninth, or C9, is one of the greatest MMOs in the world right now. Being what I feel is the biggest danger to Vindictus in the next-gen of free games, C9 features stunning graphics, fast paced combat and an interesting storyline. NHN began development of C9 in 2006 and launch the game into the Korean market in 2010. C9 will not be published by NHN USA on their ijji portal, however, as Webzen, another NHN subsidiary, has been entrusted with the publishing right. Keep posted to Webzen for more information on the Global service of C9.

[NX] [2K] 2K Sports and Nexon Team Up to Develop & Publish Baseball Sim MMO for Korean Market

This press release is being widely reported on in English and on America websites. Why this is so when the game likely will never come to America due to its being targeted to the Korean market and all. I guess it’s because 2K Sports is an American company and they sent out the press release.

May 16, 2011 – New York, New York

2K Sports announced today an agreement with Nexon Corporation to develop and publish a new online baseball simulation for the South Korean market. The partnership builds upon 2K Sports’ strategy to leverage its proven intellectual property and expertise, by using Nexon’s deep gaming roots in Korea to enhance its online game offerings for Asia.

“This partnership is an opportunity to demonstrate the scope of our development capabilities by creating a new type of online game”

“Nexon is a pioneer in the online gaming space and its track record of creating quality online titles makes them an ideal partner,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “We view this as a great opportunity to deliver an outstanding simulation game to a population that enjoys online gaming and has a passion for baseball. We look forward to reaching new audiences with our authentic simulation titles.”

The new online simulation will expand the breadth of sports titles created by 2K Sports’ Visual Concepts studio, makers of the acclaimed NBA 2K and MLB 2K franchises, who will be working very closely with Nexon, creators of popular online games, including their worldwide hits MapleStory and KartRider.

“As Korea’s number one spectator sport with nearly six million fans in 2010*, baseball has a massive untapped audience to whom we believe our game will appeal,” added Hubert Larenaudie, president of Take-Two Asia. “I’m very pleased about the partnership with Nexon, a company that has remarkable experience in developing and publishing popular online game titles. With the combined expertise of Nexon and Visual Concepts, our goal is to create the best online baseball game in Asia.”

“This partnership is an opportunity to demonstrate the scope of our development capabilities by creating a new type of online game,” said Min Suh, CEO of Nexon Corporation. “We’re confident that Visual Concepts’ proven success in developing sports simulations coupled with our online gaming expertise will result in a new kind of baseball experience for Korean online gamers.”

[GMS] MapleStory Down Under

G’day mate! We’re fired up for MapleStory Down Under, our week-long appreciation of all things Oz!

While the majority of Global MapleStory users are from the Northern Hemisphere, MapleStory is after all, a global game. Every community that makes a second home in Maple World brings a unique contribution to the game. In the case of our Aussie Maplers, it’s their great sense of humor, cheerfulness in the face of challenging PQs, and tough pioneer spirit that help inspire others and improve the Maple community – the same qualities that built Australia into a great nation!

Here’s what to look forward to this week!
