[CSO2] Tiancity Will Publish Counter-Strike Online 2 In China

Nexon announced today that it has entered into an agreement with super popular Chinese publisher Tiancity for the servicing of Counter-Strike Online 2 in that region. The title’s predecessor Counter-Strike Online has been a top performing hit in China since it was launched in 2008. Even more specifically developed that Counter-Strike Online (which was developed for an Asian audience), Counter-Strike Online 2 was developed especially for the Chinese market in order to capitalize on the massive gaming market which exists in that country.

Counter-Strike Online is currently in its beta process in Korea and will also be self-published by Nexon in Japan.

[NXEU] [CSO] Nexon Europe Takes Counter-Strike Online To Turkey

That’s right! Nexon Europe is launching yet another multiplayer online first-person shooter, this time only in Turkey. It’s Counter-Strike Online and it is currently in its closed beta in the region.

Counter-Strike Online is a free-to-play first-person shooter developed by Nexon in cooperation with game license holder Valve and launched in Korea in 2008. The game is aimed towards the Asian market. The game is currently serviced in Korea (Nexon), Japan (Nexon), China (Tiancity), Taiwan and Hong Kong (Gamania), Singapore and Malaysia (IAHGames), Indonesia (Megaxus), Thailand (PlayFPS) and is preparing for a launch in Turkey (Nexon).

A sequel was announced in 2012 and is currently in its beta phases in Korea.

CSO joins Combat Arms and War Rock in the list of MOFPSs published by Nexon Europe. A fourth FPS, Shadow Company, is scheduled for launch in 2013.
