[NX] Nexon Acquires Global Right to Shaiya Online
Nexon Co. Ltd. (TYO: 3659) has announced that it has acquired the global rights to Shaiya Online from developer CHOIROCK. Based on the quotes “the addition of Shaiya’s highly complementary three-dimensional fantasy MMORPG will enhance NEXON’s current portfolio of gaming properties and provide additional opportunities to strengthen NEXON’s North American and European businesses” and “NEXON is planning to support Shaiya’s already strong following in North America and Europe while leveraging NEXON’s global resources to expand Shaiya’s presence”, it seems safe to say that Shaiya will be moving away from Aeria Games and onto Nexon America and Nexon Europe in the foreseeable future.
Shaiya Online is a popular free-to-play MMORPG developed by CHIOROCK and published in North America and Europe by Aeria Games. Check out http://shaiya.aeriagames.com/!

Yup, great news for ijji fans that Aeria acquired the portal IMO. I was starting to seem recently that NHN USA had given up on their North American success.
