[DNNA] Closed Beta Applications Live!

Nexon America has opened closed beta applications for the North American service of hugely anticipated next-generation action MMORPG, Dragon Nest. To apply for closed beta, visit the game’s official website at http://dragonnest.nexon.net/.

Dragon Nest, developed by Shanda Games subsidiary, Seoul-based Eyedentity Games, made its world premier in March 2010 through its Korean service, published by Nexon. Since its Korean success Dragon Nest has been ported to China in August 2010 through Shanda Games, Japan in July 2010 through NHN Japan and Taiwan and Hong Kong in late 2010 through Gamania. The North American service is currently being prepared by Nexon America, the Thai service by AsiaSoft and the Global service by Shanda Games and Cherry Credits.

  1. I’m a noob in the beta and closed beta thing.. Beta means that they have released the game, but only for a short while so they can recieve feedback right ?
Closed beta is that the beta is closed and they are making modifications right ?
And Open beta just means that the beta is open right ?
So right now Dragon Nest is unaccesable since its closed beta ??? Or does closed beta mean that its now open for everyone and everyone can now enjoy the full game ?

-just something for Nexon Europe- BRING FREAKING DRAGON NEST (and vindictus) TO EUROPE please ~~~~~~!

    • The beta phases are phases of testing in which the creators of the game have invited the public (or a group selected from the public) to assist them in the testing. Closed beta is usually very limited and is accessible only to a selected number of users or users who acquire a special code to grant them access. The open beta is more open than closed beta and is usually open to everyone while the game is still in a state of glitches and bugs. So the fact that you have to apply for the Dragon Nest closed beta makes it likely that Nexon is only selecting some applicants based on a few requirements, as they have done with their previous games.

And I doubt Nexon Europe or any European publisher is publishing Dragon Nest. European users will probably just have to play on the Global service.

thats the problem .. we cant play other Nexon America games … It gives the error that we have to logg in europe ( i tried it when Vindictus launched, and it gave me an error when i logged in)… so yeah, we can’t play on global, and if Euopre NEVER gets us dragon nest i’m gonna rage.. because I think i loved dragon nest 4x more than you love vindictus, and i have been waiting for this game ever since spadow told us about this game …PLEASE NExon Europe PLEASE T-T

    • The service that Nexon America publishes is not the Global service, it’s the North American service. The only ‘Global’ games that Nexon America publishes are MapleStory and Atlantica. The Global service of Dragon Nest is being published by Shanda Games. Its website is http://dn.cherrycredits.com/ . Europeans will probably have to play through Shanda’s service.
