[NXJP] Dragona Signed for Publishing in Japan through Nexon Japan
Oh, how excellent, Nexon Japan and Dragona Online’s developer Liveplex has signed for the publishing of the game in Japan. I’m happy for Nexon Japan and all, but I’m starting to think that Nexon America is being left in the dust in terms of games being published. Nexon America has launched three games for 2010 and has at least one planned for early 2011 which isn’t bad, but when compared to Nexon Japan’s launching/taking over of TEN new games since the beginning of the year, it’s not good. Nexon Japan currently services 24 games and is catching up on Nexon Korea with services 29 games, with at least one upcoming. Well, Nexon Japan is dominating the Japanese online gaming market and I wish them and the rest of NEXON Corp. all the best in the future.
Dragona Online is a highly anticipated next-generation MMORPG developed by independent Korean studio Liveplex. The game has been in development since 2007 and will enter pre-open beta in Korea on January 20, 2011 where it is begin self-published by Liveplex.
Japan is the fourth country for Dragona Online to be published in after Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau which I believe will be published by the same company. The license for the game in America and Europe remains unsigned, will Nexon America/Nexon Europe volunteer? Liveplex is also looking for a publishing partner in China.
