[NXNA] Nexon America Surpasses 12 Million Users; Revenues Surge 28%

Nexon America, the leader in online game publishing in North America, has once again reported in a record userbase and increased revenue. The company’s total playerbase surpassed 12 million in September with the month also being Nexon’s sixteenth straight month of increased revenue when compared to that period last year, with revenues surging 23% and 28% for the entire third quarter of 2010.

The Nexon America flagship title MapleStory led the increased growth for Nexon, with the game surpassing 7 million users recently.

Heading into the fourth quarter, Nexon America plans to release the highly anticipated Vindictus, known in other markets as Mabinogi Heroes. The MMO is expected for release October 27.

“Vindictus has had one of the smoothest and most successful beta periods we have seen,” said Min Kim, Nexon America’s Vice President of Marketing. “We feel optimistic about the path that we are taking and the games we are adding to our catalogue.”

  1. Not long till maple passes Starcraft in the us.

    • I doubt GlobalMS will pass Starcraft for now. Starcraft’s playerbase of 11 million is all over the world, not just in North America. Still, globally, MapleStory has 95 million players, nearly 9x as many players as Starcraft.
